Frequently Asked Questions

How does scanning work?

Point your camera at a food label or ingredient list and Allergy Guard reads the text on your device, then checks it against your selected allergens. Scanning runs entirely on your phone — no photo ever leaves your device.

Is Allergy Guard a substitute for medical advice?

No. Allergy Guard is an informational tool, not a medical device, and is not a substitute for the guidance of a licensed physician or allergist. Always carry your prescribed epinephrine, and in a medical emergency, call 911 immediately rather than relying on the app.

Is my medical information private?

Yes — your emergency profile, allergens, and medical notes are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

On iPhone/iPad: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Allergy Guard → Cancel Subscription.

On Android: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Allergy Guard → Cancel.

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google directly — we don't have access to cancel or refund a subscription on your behalf.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by Lyterian Games directly. For the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, request one through the Play Store's order history.

How do I share my emergency medical profile?

From the Profile tab, tap Share to export a PDF summary or generate a QR code that first responders or caregivers can scan to view your allergens, EpiPen status, and emergency contacts.

I found a bug or the app crashed — what do you need from me?

Email us at the address above with your device model, phone's OS version, and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots help a lot.
